Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya: National Digital Library Initiative
Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (राष्ट्रीय ई पुस्तकालय) or National Digital Library (NDL) is an Android app developed by NCERT. This digital initiative by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, aims to provide quality digital books beyond academic curricula in various genres and languages. It encourages reading among children and adolescents by offering books in Adventure, Mystery, Humour, Literature, Fiction, Classics, and more.
The app features books in 23 languages, a book reader with text-to-speech functionality, the ability to add books to favorites, bookmarking, highlighting, note-taking, and font size customization. It offers themes like Dark, Light, and Kids, reading statistics, profile creation, and offline support for convenient reading experiences.
